ELECTION DATE:

Tuesday, November 3rd.


VOTING IN PERSON:

If you wish to vote in person, polling locations will remain open on election day. They will be kept clean and secure according to the Secretary of State’s voting plan. Check you polling location here.

You can also bring you Absentee Ballot to the drop off box outside City Hall.

Polls are open 6am to 8pm.



VOTE BY MAIL:

Due to the COVID-19 emergency, all eligible Connecticut residents are allowed to vote by absentee ballot. The Secretary of the State has mailed Absentee ballot applications to anyone who has voted in the past four years.

Application:

Once you receive an application, fill it out, check the "COVID-19" box and send it back to receive your ballot. It is recommended that all applications should be as soon as possible, preferably before October 1st.


If you have not voted in the past four years or don’t receive an absentee application by OCT 1st, you can download an application online at the CT Secretary of State website.


Ballots:

All ballots must be returned to your town clerk's office by November 3rd before 8:00 pm in order to be counted as an official vote. Ballots should be mailed before Oct 20th. Ballots can be dropped off at Official Ballot Boxes anytime.



Polling locations will remain open on election days.
